SHINING STARS PRESCHOOL - On their initial visit to my Preschool premises in June, the H.S.E. Preschool Officer and Environmental Health Officer in Tipperary South informed me that I would need to get finger protection guards for all the internal doors in the Preschool. They said they had seen different ones in different Preschools and Crèches but did not have any contact details as to where I could purchase them. I was therefore left to search out a supplier.
I went online and searched for Finger Guards for sale in Ireland as I wanted to buy everything I possibly could in Ireland. I found FingerProtection.ie and sent an email. I got a prompt reply and ordered the strips of Finger Protection guard there and then. They were delivered in a few days.
My husband fitted the guards which he said were easy to fit once you followed the instructions. When the H.S.E. Preschool Officer and Environmental Health Officer returned to inspect the premises before I opened in August, they were very impressed with the finger guards. I told them I bought them from a Company in Wicklow and they asked me to pass on the Company’s details to them as they had a few Preschools/Crèches looking to source them.
I am delighted with the Finger Guards and especially happy that I could buy them from an Irish Business. I would recommend them to other Preschools/Crèches to prevent accidents in their premises. I even fitted one to the exterior of the front door of Shining Stars Preschool.

ST PATRICKS MEATH - Our school has a 16 classroom extension and the classroom doors are heavy fire doors which close inwards. As a result of a risk assessment highlighting the dangers of a child getting a finger caught at the hinge side of the door we decided to fit all such doors with finger guards. BELLEVUE MONTESSORI - We installed the Finger Protection strips on our crèche doors five years ago and they are still doing their job in keeping the kids fingers out of the door jambs. We had previously used a concertina type which split too easily after 10 months or so. The ones from Finger Protection were easy to install, which saved on getting specialist installation, that drives costs up, and they are almost invisible so that the room decor is not affected. I definitely recommend these protection strips for use in any crèche or school.
